I didn't know there were so many colors-WHAT DO I HAVE?? (pics)

I HAVE THE PICS UPLOADED FINALLY!! I know, I know, it took me long enough... dang dial up!!

So, I will post each of them with what is in the pics. Like I said before, they are in with our turkeys and some chicks.

Starting from left to right, there's my unknown color turkey, one of the gray/white/silver guinea, the gray/white/silver guinea with a brown head, my all brown with black spots guinea, one of my black turkeys, and my 3rd gray/white/silver guinea - also the lightest one...

Here is the 5th guinea - its all brown with black spots and a white underbelly.

Ok this is what I see starting from left to right:

The lightest grey/white/silver guinea = Lite Lavender,
The grey/white/silver guinea with a brown head= Pied Brown or Pied Cinnamon ,
The all brown with black spots = Pearl Grey,
The other grey/white/silver guinea= Lite Lavender (if the head markings and body colors are the same as the 1st silver one)

The all brown with black spots and a white underbelly= Pied Pearl Grey

Are the 2 sliver keets identical (head markings and body colors)? It's kind of hard to tell in the first pic... the one on the far right in the first pic looks a little bit different, and that's all it takes is a slight difference for it to feather out as something else, lol.

You can see the difference of the 3 in the top pic - the one on the very right side is so light - its almost white.. but shiny like silver. The one on the left is the silver with some grey.. and the one in the middle has a brown head...

I just love them so much.. I've been trying to get them to eat the white millet - but with no luck thus far.

When I hold out my hand with it in it, the chicks and turks will come check it out, but the guineas will stay in a corner. I'm just not sure what to do about that.

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the help!!

They are just so darn cute, and changing colors everyday. One day I think I may go out there and one will be BLUE!! LOL!!

Hmmm... if you can, get pics of just the 2 silver/grey keets together so I can see them side by side to compare I can get a better ID on them rather than a guess (they are both blue gene based birds, I just can't tell exactly which color of Guinea they will feather out as from the pics). I especially need to see the markings and colors on the head of the one in the right corner to make a positive ID. The colors on the head and the patterns of the head stripes are what is used to ID them. (I don't need to see the one with the brown head, that one is a tan based bird, not blue).

Oh believe me, they spazzed out for a few minutes before they calmed down, lol. I had a hardware cloth brooder lid over them to keep them contained for the photo op, and just lifted it up enuff to sneak some pics, lol

Ok. I tried to take pics again this morning. Maybe it was bad timing... since they probably got a good nights sleep... but the wouldn't hold still!!

So, I studied the pic you posted and I'm confident I have a lavender and light lavender out of the 2 lightest ones. I'm pretty sure that I don't have a blue one because that one has more "squiggly" patterns on it's head.

I will try again to get some pics later after they have been up playing for a little bit.

Also, I can't get them to come near my hand. They have finally tried the white millet. I sprinkled some on the ground in front of them, then kept my turkeys and chicks busy with some meal worms so they could scope out what I gave to them. Of course, they love the millet, but if I stick my hand in front of them with millet in it, they run away.

My plan is not that they will stand on my arm or shoulder, but I don't want them to run from me when I walk out. Is just coming in and feeding and watering them every day enough to get them used to me? Will they get used to me as they get older? I just want to make sure that they come home every night when they get older so I can lock them up and not have to worry about something getting them.

My neighbor has 4 guineas that he's had for over a year now. They are free-range and just hang out in his yard, pasture, fields, etc. They walk right up to him - and he's never picked them up or anything. He said it's just because they are used to him walking around working. He leaves his outside all night, and the only time they go in is when its really cold (we live in Indiana and it gets pretty darn cold). Then they will go in and roost with the chickens and turkeys.

Will they ever be "used" to me, or should I just expect them to "sound the alarm" when I come near? Will they calm down a little bit after they see that I'm the one that feeds/waters/cleans? My DH seems to think so...

p.s. Peeps - What on earth are you going to do with over 600 guineas???​

The only ones I have that will let me near them are keets, and they don't really like it. I saw where people have tamed them and had them sitting on their arm ect. but they also said it took a LOT of training early on. I personally don't try and socialize mine to much to ppl I feel they are safer. When the timer goes off on the feeder I can get fairly close but they don't want to be cuddly.

It is actually a deer feeder. Set to go off twice a day. it is set on medium flow. My flock has now gotten use to the time it goes off and hang around it. works great if you need to get away for a few days
