Ok, I dont have the best scale in the world, but I tried to weight my Cornish rock hens and from what I gather, the cocks were about 7.5 to 8 and the hens just slightly under. I couldnt get them to put both feet on the scale at the same time. Some of them are so fat they cant but walk a couple feet and sit down to rest. I dont have an appt till August 13th to butcher. Do I continue feeding them 3-5 times a day or just once? I dont want them to keel over from heart attacks. Three weeks is a long way away. Also, the weather is 103 today. Do I use ice jugs to cool them down or just make sure they have water? I have a tarp over them to keep them shaded.
