any time you even 'think' about getting another cat one (or more!) will show up in some way -- appearing at your door, a friend with a litter of kittens, a call from the vet about a kitty needing a home, a pregnant barn cat (eeek!) --

all you have to do is think 'I might be able to have another cat' and it's just like magic -- cat(s) appear from nowhere/everywhere --

would that money or a new car would appear so magically!

(the Ragdoll kitty we adopted from our vet was the sweetest cat we ever had -- 'CoffeeCat' was the best!)

let us see pics when you get the cat/cats!

I know you're just kidding, but there IS such a thing as too many cats------have you seen the homes of cat owners on Confessions of Animal Hoarders (or whatever it's called)? I think if the OP can reasonably care for another cat, she should get it----it's not the number, it's the care the receive and the ability to clean up after them. I have a co-worker who has 25 or so indoor cats-----and his home does not smell, and you wouldn't even know that many cats were there. That's because he has numerous cat boxes that are cleaned several times a day. Of course, he does NOT want even one more cat! His daughter who worked for the shelter and a vet is to blame for brininging them home.

Oh, I do not need another cat either----I have 4 indoor and 1 outdoor cat----all spayed or neutered.​

Oh I know the addiction very well...13 years ago I had a sealpoint siamese and he was my baby and I his. I miss him to this day terribly and one day, when my kids stop "adopting" strays, I will get another one.

I sure hope that this shelter gives you some kind of a deal on fees or neutering...considering that they can pull on your heartstrings.

Yes, we could easily manage another cat here. We've had up to 8 at one time, and all got the best food we could find and regular vet care. I would not bring an animal of any sort into this house if I could not provide that. And the shelter has basic vet care, spay/neuter and vaccinations done before the cats are put up for adoption. And would likely give us a break on the fee since they know us.

I'm still debating... And trying to convince hubby. Maybe we'll just "need" to stop in the PetSmart where they do the adoptions on weekends today while we are running errands. We can tag team him!! LOL

At least I think it's a him- that's what my daughter said, anyway. As long as he gets along with other cats and the dog....

We'll arrange to meet him before we decide, of course.

Ok, so she's a she! LOL About 5 years old. Her current Mom had to be taken to a nursing home due to a stroke and mental complications from it. She is partially paralyzed and the doctors say she will not be able to return home, so the kitty is in need of a good home. Very sad. So we will be looking at her soon.
