I have a 7 week old pekin that I believe is sick but I’m not sure what is wrong or what to do. She was seemingly fine for the majority of the day. I noticed a few hours ago that she seemed to be moving a little slower than usual but otherwise seemed normal. Shortly after I saw her standing at the top of her ramp to the pool and she was kind of just staring off into space which isn’t like her. I walked over to her and was talking to her and she just looked at me. I started to pet her and usually as soon as I reach for her when she is near there she will bolt right into the pool thinking I’m trying to make her get out but this time she just stood there. I grabbed a towel and picked her up and brought her to a shaded grassy area. I also noticed a few mealworms left uneaten on her ramp which is completely unheard of as she always devours anything in sight. Since then she has refused to eat anything at all including any of her favorite foods. She is however drinking. She also has diarrhea and although now it is entirely liquid, the first several occurrences contained bits of undigested food..specifically mealworms. Please any insight or advice at all is greatly appreciated. I haven’t left her side and am worried sick and have no idea what to do. I have been googling like crazy but am not finding any concrete information so I figured I should come here.
