I don't get it

It seems like every time my chickens start laying consistently it ends. They will all lay everyday for a few weeks then a few or all will stop laying for a while. For the last 2 months I have recieved 3-4 eggs a day from my 4 layers. This week I have only been recieving two eggs a day. I don't think anything has happened to stress them. If anything they should be happier as they are receiving more time to forage outside the run.

What about their diet? Protein and calcium intake?

They have as much layer crumble as they want, I have a dish of grit, and they pick up all the bugs and pebbles they want from around my yard and garden.

Mine seem to have gone on a vacation as well. Was getting 6-8 a day, now just 3 or 4.
