I have normally lived on the outskirts of town or in a suburb. Since marrying I now live in the country. I have 22 various types of chickens and 5 assorted ducks. This is where chicken math comes in. We bought 6 chickens... then rescued some then my neighbor decided he couldn't stand ducks...

Ah, Country Hippie, many of us have similar stories where "we bought (fill in the SMALL number of) chickens" -- and now have many more chickens. And ducks. And, in my case, geese.
