So my chicken began laying eggs and the first two days they were in the nesting box. However, the third day she oddly laid an egg near my fence by her nesting box. The other 3 days she hasn't laid. I don't know if perhaps she is changing the place she is laying in but I don't know where she is laying or if she's even laying. PLEASE HELP <3

I would look under scrubs and flowers/plants.
Even if you think that there is no way she would go over there, look there. She is laying to hide the eggs from predators.
Egg hunt!!

We've been thru the egg hunts. My daughter would let the chickens out first thing in the morning, and invariably, somebody would be too lazy to go back to the nest. 🙄 Now they're not allowed out until lunch. (By "out" I mean free-ranging, not that they're locked in their coop all morning.)

I had the same problem once, exept she was laying in the loft of our coop. Didn’t find out until there was a clutch of 5.....And once in a corner in the far back were the leghorns like to roost. I found a few covered in poo. Sigh. Chickens.
Since they free range I would check under some bushes and look in any private spots that she might want to ley eggs. And letting them out later is a good idea too.

There is a few things to consider, how many hens how long have they been laying. Anytime my egg count is down multiple days in a row I start looking for a hidden next.

Our chickens free range on 6 acres in the back pasture. A couple of them decided to build a nest in the weeds along the fence line and we never would've found it but for our beagle harassing a hen who was trying to hatch a clutch of 23 eggs. I could literally stand directly over the nest and look straight at it and not see her; the weeds formed a neat little overhead canopy of perfect camouflage for her home away from home. There was only a small opening that allowed the hens to slip in, drop an egg, and leave.
