I use the egg shells, put them in ginder and grind them small then I mix it with the feed, they love that and it helps with the new egg shells.You shouldn't add corn to their feed. Feed is made to be nutritionally complete for the life stage of the chicken. If you have a mixed flock of hens and a rooster, you should ideally feed "all flock raiser" and keep other treats to a bare minimum. Think of anything else as junk food. Be sure to keep oyster shell and grit in separate containers for your chickens to eat free choice.
