All is not lost. Colors very similar to this are available in lovely old heritage breeds. Take the New Hampshire for instance. A couple of years ago a stunning German import strain was imported to the US. Kept pure or crossed with US strains it is a real stunner. The birds are not only beautiful, they are easy to be around. Plus there is a group of dedicated, German New Hampshire breeders who are very knowledgeable right here on BYC. Here is a thread about them on BYC. Take a look at post 78 of 1511. Color is in the same family of hues.

Check and see if the German strain is in the UK, if not the original color scheme is only a bit less tunning.
