Just an FYI about locking threads/moderation:
The Staff loves BYC. If we didn't, we wouldn't want to spend so much of our free time here. Most of us spend the equivalent of at least a part-time job here on BYC each week, and we do it as volunteers.
We aren't overjoyed about having to lock threads or moderate posts. It's just part of the job description. Personally, I think I can speak for all of us when I say that I'd personally rather be giving advice about chickens and having fun on the forum than having to PM people about rule-breaking, lock threads, etc. But we do it, because BYC is like our home, and we like to have a clean house for all our guests to visit.
Yes, we've been busy over the past day or so in here. There has been a lot of rule-breaking. If you're not familiar with the rules, go read them.
Follow the rules of this privately-owned message board and you'll do fine here. If the rules here don't work for you, there are other places on the Internet to get what you need.
We'd rather have people here than elsewhere, but if elsewhere suits you better, then that's perfectly fine.
