I don't like turkeys!

Chickadoodles, Turkeys will imprint on you, when you hand raise them like that. You are MAMA to them. If a hen turkey raises the poults, they learn to forage more, because they imprint on the turkey hen, but they will be more stand-offish ! I love turkeys, too!

I can tell my turkeys love me! And they are so much fun to watch play! They run and fly like crazy! And they protect their chickens!

Well now that I've let them up closer to the house, they sit on my back porch and yell for me until I come out and then follow me around. Sounds cute until they just don't shut up! Anyway, I'm happy that moving them up towards the house seems to have made them more active.

I'm raising one Narragansett along side a white turkey that I bought atwoods . I keep them with the other 47 other chickens I really enjoy them.they patrol around the pool occasionally look for that easy meal of grasshopper. They have come to realize that they can swim and no longer panic and get out on their own. I believe my narry is a girl and she can fly scare all the chickens to death for a moment. She can swim and fly awesome bird.
