We processed a bunch of our silkies and I gave them all away as gifts. Our family is very large and I would have to cook 2/3 of them at a time to feed us 1 meal.

I butcher all my culls, the little 1.5 lb laying bird roos are perfect for a pot of soup.

I agree with you. They are pretty creepy. Don't think I could put that in my mouth, but then I'm kinda squeamish about what goes in my pie hole!!

I'm with you BettyR on atleast giving it a try. I have always told my kids just because something may look a certain way, doesn't mean it taste that way. And for the most part they will TRY most anything I put in front of them. I'm sure it taste the same as regular chicken. Just goes to show you how the mind can effect you more than you think.

If you've ever seen that show FEAR FACTOR.....OMG....some of the things they have had those people eat

. I would gladly eat silkie compared to any of that stuff I've seen.
