I don't think I have a Rooster but...

This is Dot, one of three that were hatched early April so they're about two months old. Got them from a feed store.

My two others are pure Buff Orpington and this one was supposed to be too but she's definitely a mutt (I suspect EE x BO).

'She' is much more skittish and untrusting than the two pure Orps which is unfortunate but as long as 'she' is not a 'he', I don't mind. I love her caramel latte coloring, beard and green feet.

But I keep wondering if Dot is maybe a roo. Her build is much more gamey and streamlined than my other hens. Then I think "no, her comb and saddle feathers would be showing more by now, wouldn't they?" I know I could just wait and see but I'm worried because if Dots a roo we won't be able to keep 'him'. Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

I'm also just curious what kind of mix anyone thinks she might be.

From what I can tell from the picture I suspect that you are going to be getting some really nice tinted eggs from Dot. Congratulations.
