Hey BYCers,
Im Kath, Im from Perth in Western Australia. I have been keeping poultry for 4 years and I think I would be lost without my feathered friends. Who needs a TV when you can watch the birds? As I said, they even feature front and centre in my technicolour dreams sometimes, haha.
At present I currently have two Australorps, one white leghorn, one white leghorn x sussex, two bantams of unknown origin,( though they look like they could be of game decsent, not sure as I adopted them) two japanese quail and two bantam peking ducks. The leghorn/sussex currently has two adopted four and half week old babies,(i think one is a roo) which are white with a few black speckles, not sure what they are either, most likely mutts.
I also have two kids and two cats in my menagerie, I had a dog, but he decided the birds were for eating rather than family members, so he had to be rehomed sadly.
Looking forward to sharing with you all!!
