I feel bad for my roosters

I started out with 12 rir chicks well I just wanted one rooster and ended up with 3 so yesterday my son caught the 2 I did not want to keep and took them to the firehouse to a guy who eats them....I feel so bad about doing that.....

Well, think about it as saving them from a cruel death such as rooster fights, being housed in a small cage just so you can keep them, or so many other fates.
You had a chance to raise them humanely and treat them with respect until their end came. Try not to feel bad, they nourished a family, what a honor for a roo.

quite possibly not thinking at all. Off to warm sunny rays of...green blades of grass in their own chicken heaven. RIP. (I don't know if they are gone or not)

Roosters have several purposes in life: mate, protector and dinner!

With too many in one flock they only had one choice left!!
