I feel horrible

Was candling eggs to go on lockdown. Found 2 no aircells. So we removed them. Decided to see if there was development and at what stage they died. Cracked the first one open and there was a fully formed baby. I feel horrible. The other died befoe full formation. Still on the first one ther was no aircell anywhere. I am sure it wouldn't have made it anyway, but still feel horrible. It was a golden polish.

Sometime it's hard to tell....over the years I've hatched breach chicks...they peeped out of the bottom of the shell.....it's a crazy world...~Charm

We've all done stuff like that, something that we later regret. The key is to learn from it. Don't beat yourself up too bad.

I never toss an egg when I candle at lockdown unless it is an obvious clear. Some of my eggs, especially the green ones, are so dark I can’t see inside them anyway.

I am ok. I have 25 more that are moving and can hear one pecking on the shell. Just felt bad because I couldn't find an aircell no where. Assumed it was a dud.
