I feel so bad for my friend! (Caution:Graphic and long)

It broke my heart to read your post. I remember crying when my cat gave birth to a still born kitten. I was so sad for her. My best friend thought I was nuts! "Its just a cat" she said! Well they arnt JUST animals to most of us, they are part of our family. Let your friend know that she is in my thoughts and prayers, and she did something alot of people couldn't. Some would have just stood by. She should be very proud for what she did.

We have had similar things happen with our goats. Our pygmy doe gave birth to trips and failed to push out the placenta. She died the next morning. I felt especially terrible because I had noticed that she had not passed the placenta, but didn't remove it because I wanted her to do it naturally.

I am so sorry that she had to go through that and lose a baby. At least she was able to give that baby some comfort of suckling a finger...and knowing someone cared.
