To be honest, at first I put "female chicks," but then I went "Nah I'll try and sound smart" lol. I kinda get the same image in my head when I hear "pullets."

Technically, its the correct term. I thought she was being a bit facetious. That comes from someone who appreciates facetiousness.

Nah, I admit I seriously thought he found started pullets at a feed store and got excited! I occasionally do find them being sold by the road. I live in Texas so you can buy almost anything by the road!

I've spent a lot of time in Texas. I'm actually a native, but left when I was young. It wouldn't surprise me to find just about anything on the side of the road there.

I live in California so you can buy just about any fruit on the side of the road, but I have seen a chicken or two just wandering about! Our gas stations don't have bbq though, sadly.
