Wow, your first egg was a bit more impressive than mine. I saw my first egg a couple of days ago and nothing since, and here is a picture of what I received. I don't know if you can tell exactly how soft the shell is from the picture, but it was very soft. I keep hoping to find one I can eat.

Whoot Whoot!!! COngrats! I stood by the coop today for an hour, waiting for my BR to lay her first egg! She was so frantic and had no idea what to do, she kept going in and out of the coop, her wings out, gulling and her butt pulsing, I finally had to put her back in the coop and close the door so she just had some alone, quiet time! She was sooooo proud! All the other hens stayed by the coop too waiting for her to finish!

I got my first 2 eggs today too!!! small and soft but it's a start and I'll take them!!
