Thanks everyone! I ordered some Zupreem natural food and the Zupreem veggie mix. Plus they will still have their seed mix. I'm hoping it won't be to difficult to get them to eat it. I fixed the fighting problem by giving them their own food and water bowls. Now they each stay on their own side of the cage, sometimes one will cross onto the others side of the cage, boy do they scream, lol. I still will probally end up buying each one their own cage. But until then they'll have to share.

Congrats! Amazons are awesome birds! My first was an Orange Wing, and currently I have Molly, a 14 year old Blue Front. Molly tends to get a little heavy from time to time as well (She is on an organic, non GMO, no additives or colors mixed seed) and I have found that usually happens when she has not been getting enough greens, fruits and veggies. Peanuts and other nuts have high fat content, and should not be their only food source. I try to feed equal amounts of seed mix and greens. Molly loves celery, carrots, squash, beans, peas, bananas, apples and grapes. I grow various sprouted greens for my family, and give them to Molly occasionally as well.
If you don't already know, birds should never be given avocado, as it can kill them.
Do yours like misting baths? You can buy suction perches that will attach to windows or shower walls so they can have lukewarm showers. Molly LOVES mist baths in the shower, or even on her free standing perch with a water bottle - and it helps them get rid of the 'bird smell.'

If your wondering what pellet to give your birds, do you know what they had before? Just a little helpfull note the food that they are eating right now, keep doing it then slowly add the new food each day, so they can get used to it.LOL I had and still trying to get my cockateils on pellets its been close to a year.some of my teils are standing in the pellet dish wanting the pellets (which is pretty bird) then I got the ones that throw the pellets out and eat the seed, but in time if one teils trys the pellets the others are going to wonder what is he eating then they will try it,lol it takes time and lol wasted money that's on the floor.oh well in the long run its a lot healthier for them.
Some of my birds are on zupreen they love it.
Here's story about my cockatoo Lady, the breeders had her on a pellet called Lakes, its looked like rabbit food.I got her when she was 6 months old, and she was on lakes pellets for about two years then she started snipping her feathers off, yes cockatoos are known to do this if they are bored,but she was not bored she was out of her cage, playing with me or her daddy.I changed her food because it was hard to find lakes pellet.
For ten years TEN!!!!!!!! I took her to so many vets asking what is going on? they had no ideal, one vet said well its like chewing on your fingernails its a habit, by this time she was called a DUCKATOO, no tail feathers, I guess on the bright side I did not have clip her wings, she did it for me.
The family moved to the country 5 acres, horses, and such.I found a feed store near by, I stopped in to get horse feed, and I see all these parrots, am saying to myself wow this is great!!! The parrots was not in cages but in a glass box so you can reach in to pet them, not saying I was dumb enough to touch any of the larger birds lol.I talked with the owner, hes been breeding for years, selling his birds to amusement parks and such. So I told him I had a cockatoo that's a Duckatoo also told him about all the vets, that I went to, he said JUST CHANGE HER FOOD Lol yea like its going to be that easy,he said give her Pretty bird pellets for cockatoos its made just for them.
I thought what the heck, I will try it, IN 6 months she had all her feathers long HER TAIL WAS LONG, LOL no longer a DUCKATOO BUT A VERY PRETTY COCKATOO!!!!

I don't know if this will help Jasper with biting but (as I wrote many time on my comments) try a spray bottle using the jet stream of water just one spray and say No bite, in tine they will see that bottle and think twice about biting it also helps screaming, not saying they cant scream but not all day. Another thing is use a T stick for her to step up.

Congrats We have all kinds of birds plus 5 chickens that live with a 90 lb Sulcata Tortoise during the day, the rest are caged - one blue fronted amazon, 2 Rose Breasted Cockatoo's aka Galah , 3 Conures, 8 Cockatiels... 12 parakeets & finches which we don't count beings they breed quite well in captivity ... LOL , one African Grey & forgot it's breed but it's a small white cockatoo who loves to dance it's great having them all. The one's in house & on the porch are all on Zupreem, the ones out in the yard are Zupreem & Seeds because when the seeds sprout ( which they easily do which is why I don't want them all over the yard, the birds eat their greens ! I'm interested in this Pretty Bird food to see if it helps the one Galah who plucks after her parents divorced & separated her from her buddy conure who groomed her , which is another reason we put her outside ( they say Natural Sunlight sometimes helps ) so time will tell, but she's a LUV ! Take Care, be careful - critters can be addicting ... which is fine if you have the room & don't mind the care !

Congrats! He is very cute! I have a blue fronted amazon now "her" name is zoey, my husband got her for me off of Craigslist. I was told she is a female but she is actually a he but she already learned her name so we just pretend he is a she. We feed her zupreem natural also. I also have a cockatiel, I would love to get more parrots one day but they take up so much room and time which I don't have right now.
