Just thought I'd say hi. I have been looking up all sorts of helpful chicken info on this site and thought that since I finally have a flock of my own it was time to join.

Have you visited the Learning Center yet? If you go to "where am I, where are you," tab in the social forum, you can locate and post on your state thread and maybe found some nearby chicken people.

I have 2 Speckled Sussex, 2 Cuckoo Marans, 2 Red Sex Link, and 1 Black Australorp. One of my boys asked for a black chicken. Lol

So one of my cuckoo marans died about 10 days ago. Not sure what happened. We found her on the coop floor in the morning. The other girls were ok but a bit nervous. They were locked up tight so we are really unsure of what happened. She didn't have any bruising or cuts or anything.
