I forgot how fun Dyeing eggs can be! Pics included!

Beautiful eggs! I have 20 brown ones in the fridge to dye tomorrow. Im anxious to try it. I want to try the natural dyes too, Im not sure if we are or not though. I want to try a Marans egg, we'll see how it goes!

I just boiled 5 doz, brown, blue, cream, and lite brown I cannot wait to see how they turn out..

Yes they where brown eggs really kinda dark three where. Our Barred Rock hens lay lighter eggs almost a pinkish.purple tint but our two old Sex links lay beautiful large dark eggs. I think I let the green and orange and red set longer. The blue turned blue real quick wondering if I had let them sit longer how dark they would of gotten. But with the kids wanting them done I don't think any set for over a couple minutes.

I really didn't expect them to turn out so good myself.

Is it just me, or do brown eggs give a more vivid color? I've dyed eggs for years, (using only white, that's all I had) and even expensive kits never give the vivid colors I see! Great Job!
