I found a light green egg today. Do I have an EE ? CAUGHT HER !!

Im not a 'fessional, but if I could see some more legs...I've seen somewhere the eggs n legs color means something....then again, eggs would be yellow, wouldnt they....(My dream egg)....
No, really, if there is a blue/green egg layer gene mixed into your birds, and they are not pure, thats what you have...a green egg layer. Yours may not necessarily even be an EE (the most common belief about EE's is they are mixed color Ameracaunas with other stuff possibly thrown in and lay pretty eggs, like more distinquished mutts. Feedstores/Hatcheries sell Ameraucanas - they are NOT, they are EE's).....you may have a Mutt that lays Green Eggs!
Your birds looks like XX but lays an egg like YY ...okay?? Thats how I understand it! Eggs are so cool!

Oh, I think the brown one did it!

It was the Parrot.........just look at the tongue in beak look she has. I'm sure it's a Christmas Eve day joke on you........

Did you by chance order any "rainbow egg assortment" or "barnyard mix" or maybe just a "our choice standard size" mix of chickens? I am assuming you have an EE somewhere lurking, but as someone up there said, they can be hard to identify sometimes because they are such a mix.

Of the pictures you have posted, I would lean toward believing the first hen in the top picture. Guess now, you'll have to wait during laying time and watch the hens to catch the culprit green egg layer....hehehe

In the second picture (red and black breasted roo) standing behind the white Silkie looks to be an EE. He seems to have a muff or beard. Does he?

Also, in picture #9 there is a brown pullet fluffing in the dirt in the background, does this pullet have a beard or muff? I can't see her very well.

I second that. The first one looks just like one of my EE's. Mine range rome gold to dark brown. Looks just like yours.

ps I like your little coop.

My thought exactly on the first pic. She was one of three we got at an auction for 2 bucks each !!

The roo does have a beard, he is really cool. He was from the "chick days" at Hirsch feed store. The one in the fore ground that looks like a roo, maybe a hen. It is pretty young yet.

The pullet does have a muff. I do not remember where we got this one.
