LOL Southern, I do not think it will make much sense at my house either because it is going to be at the back slider, but our chickens do come inside if the door is left opened!!

Not only do the chickens free range in the front yard here, but they like to peck on the storm door when we're inside and if you aren't quick about it, they WILL follow you in the house! We're thinking about making a roost in front of the bay window in the living room, so they can see in and to maybe keep the doorways free.

I was actually looking for this doormat design, but couldn't find it. Thank you for the link! I'm going to get one, too!
