I found a Peacock egg! I found a Peacock egg!

Well she will not have anything to do with it I will throw it away

Peahens never lay one egg and then start incubating it - at least not normally.

They will lay 1 egg every other day and when they plan to sit on them they will lay each egg in one spot. They won't sit on any of the eggs until they have laid around 6 eggs in that one spot. Then they will start incubating the eggs which will last a max of 30 days.

The eggs can chill before the peahen starts sitting on them. That is completely normal. When the peahen starts sitting on the eggs she will get off of the eggs for a little while to go eat, drink, and use the bathroom. Then she will get back on the eggs. That is also normal and the eggs getting cooler while she is off them for a short time is not bad.

Often times the first eggs a peahen lays she will never sit on even if they are fertile. The first eggs of the year she lays will normally be all over the place and not very well hidden. These are likely decoy eggs that the peahen uses to distract predators away from the real nest which she will start making after she lays this first clutch. The second clutch is usually the one she will put effort into picking a good spot and laying all the eggs in that spot.
