A few days ago, I found a rooster in the middle of Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. He was terrified and soaked in the rain. I took him home, and he's turned out to be very friendly. I want to provide the best life for him. Please let me know if you have any advice or suggestions :)

It’s amazing that you rescued him!
First of all (if you haven’t already) dry him off with a towel. he proper needs food and water. He’ll need chicken feed and water in a dish where his beak won’t hit the bottom. Chickens also need to be around other chickens so if you intend on keeping him you need to get other chickens. He’ll also need a coop outdoors. Good luck!

Welcome to BYC!! You're so awesome to help him! 🙏It's incredibly sad that people just ditch Roosters, it's indeed a problem. If you can keep him, he'd love a flock mate, they are very social.... If you can't, there could be a Rooster Rescue in your area? I'm lucky to be in a area with a Rooster Sanctuary....

Thank you for your advice. I don't have any other chickens. I would like to take him to a place where he can be safe in his habitat. For now, I have him in a controlled space with food and water; he is very friendly.I live in Miami, Florida. I'll send you a photo.

You could ask if anyone can take him on the Florida thread :)
