I did a search on my citys chicken laws and this is what I found.
(b) The owning or keeping of any fowl, including, but not limited to domestic geese, ducks, turkeys, and chickens within the City limits is hereby prohibited, except for caged birds kept as pets within a residence structure, or racing pigeons. However:
(1) Schools are not prohibited from raising chicks and/or ducks for educational purposes; and
(2) When finished or no later than two weeks after the chicks and/or ducks have hatched, the schools must give the fowl to a farm authorized to handle such animals.
does this mean I can only keep them in the house or can I build a coop in my garage? or does this mean I cant keep them? not sure if they are saying you cant keep chickens but can keep other birds?
also found this
(13) Game cocks and other fighting birds;
does this mean I cant have a roo?

. I know when I seen that before it was worded different then now. It said something like no game birds can be kept at all in the city limits and no chickens and others can be kept unless they are kept caged on the property something along them lines.
