I gave in and started eggs today! Anyone else due around the 13??

UGH! One had blood ring

Cracked it open and sure enough no good.It was suppose to be a splash silkie.Darn! How long should I wait for the other ones that aren't showing the veining? They still show clear that I can tell.

well the temp is 100.1 and the humidity is ? maybe 37. Like as tested be fore starting .

I needed to candle a couple of other eggs put in on the 17 th ,,and while candleing I did them all..
Seems that 1 egg of the 7 is clear. but I will wait ..

there are no blood rings .

So I beleive I have 6 fertile eggs .
the shells are not the best . not uniformed ,,spotted ..I should have checked before incubating ,,

I sure hope the ventalation is correct on this bator .

With my eggs the clear ones seem to glow .while the fertile eggs do not
these phoenix eggs are tinted and small.

I have 10 bobwhite quail eggs due the 13th, 3 SQ speckled sussex due the 12th, and 8 button quail on the 12th i think

Hopefully i can get a good hatch rate

I have 24 Buff Orp 3 turken and 4 of my darkest in the basket set for hatching on the 13th. As it stands now they are in the still air...But with luck I'm moving them under broodies before hatch. This is my 4th run of the season and my largest. 31 on the 13th but I'll settle for 16.

The BO are auction eggs from GreeneFamilyFarms. So I hope to do her excellent pack and ship justice by going over 50% with them. The rest are from here at home. I'm pretty sure those are going to pad my hatch stats!

There is a little more bang for the chicken BOOM! after the boom I pray you all see dust!

I couldnt wait any longer so i got out the flashlight and candled my 8 silkie eggs that I put in the bator last thursday - only 1 of the 8 looks clear (the smallest one), so 7 of 8 wth veining and 2 have definate 'floating' things visible. I hope that's a good sign

OOooh, Okay today is day 7 so will be candelling tonight and cant wait to see what is fertile/developing!!

My temperature has been mostly steady, But the incubator isnt holding it as it should and have had little spikes, hopefully not high enough to damage them though.

Will let everyone know how I get on tonight

Im new to this too! Mine are due the 14th. Using little giant 9200.
15 blk , 7 buff, 4 , blue/ splash, 1 wheaten and 1 blue wheaten all are ameraucanas. Wish me luck!

So its our fair weekend and needless to say I am super busy! So my lil town has been having huge winds again not that its not normal but to the point we lost power. Soo I moved the eggs to a tool shed and used our lil generator...lol So far all is well and everything stayed pretty steady. Anywhos hope all is doing well.
