I gave in and started eggs today! Anyone else due around the 13??

Well, I have 8 eggs, 4 black and 4 white miniature Silkies.
They were all shipped from 2 different eBayers. Unfortunetly the 4 blacks are all infertile/damaged in post

But the 4 whites are all developing well. So at least I may have 4 babies.

So on day 7 candling I saw Veins and a heart beat in each of the tiny eggs!!! I'm in love all ready, please let these babies hatch¢¾

so there seems to be a few incubating eggs , great,

I candle my eggs with a small flashlight this morning 9:30 am .

so there are two egg shells that the shell is spotted .

one egg that was clear seems to show something inside and
all the other eggs seem OK for now .

I'll have to keep a watch on the clearish egg.it may have a blood ring or maybe its a vein .

the humidity is 43%
and the temperature is settling in as I forgot to take a reading when I opened the bator

Anyways again good luck with you all and all you hatching and posting on the other threads ..

I need luck as there were 2 ,, 1 hour power outages from all the storms and just at night .
so I may wake up and the eggs maybe cold from another long lasting power outage.

Candled my eggs yesterday and 6 have something in them but I couldn't see any veins and 1 had a detached air sac from shipping so that went out, nothing in it. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the rest develop.

Well everyone made me impatient so I candled today and have 15 growers out of 17 shipped hope they all hatch!

I have 9 Heritage Delawares due August 13.....and I only WISH this was my first hatch!!!

Just hatched Polish, Speckled Sussex and Del/Buff Orp Thurs and Fri this week. Good luck everyone!!!!

I have some olive eggers due on the 13th. I candled yesterday and out of 14, 11 are developing. Temp holding steady at 99.7 and humidity at 50%. Love my Brinsea!!!

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this.. So if not someone let me know and ill remove it

I candled my eggs just now.. Day 9, and I saw veins, an eye, heartbeat..then a little body jumping about, You cant tell that well on the video but a beak, wings and feet (I think) are clearly visable!!!

Sorry about my excitability, you can tell i'm new to hatching, but it's so amazing!!

Day 8 and just candled again - could really see that 5 of the 8 are developing well and have definate movement....had a flashback to my first ultrasound when i was pregnant; thinking "WOW, there's life in there - wonder what it will look like?" Glad I only have a few more days to wait instead of a few months!

I can see how this can get really addicting.

I can only check one egg as all the others are under the broody and i dont want to mess with her...But the one egg is doing well....
