I give up on store bought

I have been trying to talk my friend who does pig that we need to do a beef but they aren't interested. I have also tried talking DH into doing it but so far no luck. I have processed up to 7 deer by myself ( hubby quartered them)at one time so I don't think 1 cow could be much harder. I do roast and burger as I don't care for venison steak. But I do have dvd's showing how to get specific cuts. And I have another guy interested but we don't have the equipment our other friend does. May have to just raid their shed lol.

I've been eating grass-fed beef from a local dairy farm over the past year. When I went down to visit relatives at Christmas, my dad made spaghetti with some Kroger's ground beef. That beef was pale, pink and tasteless. I first thought it was pork on account of the color but my dad indignantly told me it was beef.

I gave him some ribeye steaks from our 1/4 steer this past winter. While he initially resisted because he "didn't want to eat anything that was once alive," I got after him that all the grocery store meat was once alive too. I guess it was easier for him to ignore when it was neatly wrapped in cellophane rather than neatly wrapped in butcher paper

Any rate, he tried the beef and loved it
