)*(@&#*()& I GIVE UP!

Use a water wiggler and don't worry about what temps are in the incubator as long as the wiggler internal temps are shown at 99.5

Keep the humidity at 50-55% and don't open the incubator for NOTHIN those last 3 days.

Don't give up they are worth it in my opinion.

The reason I asked is that I have read in several places now that seramas need more humidity during the first 3 weeks than larger breeds.

Here's a good reference post:

I have a set of eggs in the 'bator now, and am trying to keep humidity at 55% or so.

ps. I hope you'll try it again, and I hope everyone will encourage me to try again if this batch doesn't hatch for me... It does help to know in advance that seramas are not easy to hatch.

Ok, last try. I set 20 eggs last night. Humidity is at 55, tamp at 100-101. Towel over bator. If these don't hatch, I'm done trying.

Good luck! I hope you get a great hatch this time.
(Towel over bator, just make sure its not covering air holes. The eggs need the fresh air.)

Wishing you the best on your hatch. The temp. better cooler than to HOT. the 103 is a killer. Make sure the towel does not block the air vents. maxs temp of 101 top of egg if no fan.

If not far from Ohio I would be glad to help hatching them for you.

Good luck! so sorry the last batches haven't been good for you.

But I'm glad you're trying again! Good job! make sure vents are open and temp. doesn't go up too high!

Sorry for your loss.

I can't imagine how frustrating that would be.

Good for you for trying it again! Please post updates on how it goes this time.

I am not sure if my eggs are going to hatch as I had the humidity all screwy for the first week or so.

Hope you have better luck with this batch...I have found that because they have different requirements for development it is harder also when you have other breeds in the bator. I have had your type of luck with the silkies, can't seem to get them to hatch when others are doing fine in the same batch.

Good hatching vibes for you
