I usually buy chick starter from the co-op. They have all sorts of gamebird feeds there too. i ran out the other day and forgot to go on Saturday, so had to run to TSC. I was thrilled to see they still had the cheaper dumor when I saw flockraiser was ridiculous.....
 
I think I'll check it out tomorrow. Maybe I can find some good quail starter. What is Co-op's starter like? Well how much protein?
 
Not sure, its been a while since I bought it there. I think their gamebird starter is 28%....not positive though. They also have gamebird grower(20% I think) and gamebird breeder (20%).

I think those are the co-op options.

Forgot to note the regular layer crumble/pellets are 16%. I think their regular starter is only 16% too.
