I goofed picking out breeds for Sex Links!

Ug....I made a mistake today when picking out breeds to make my own sex links. I got a Barred Rock Rooster and a Rhode Island Red hen instead of vise versa for a red sex link.....what should I do? just keep the hens and start over again. I already own sex links but I wanted to hatch and raise my own. How silly! any thoughts? I don't need this rooster now...(I am new to this!)
