I got a nigerian dwarf goat today!!!!!!!!!!

It looks so green! Are the goats scaling Mt. BuffOrp? I can just imagine what my baby goats would do to that pile. It would be flat in NO time!

The goats have yet to scale the mighty mountain. I think they are too heavy, they just sort of sink a little when they walk on the gravel around the edges of the pile.

As for temperament, a lot of that depends on how they are raised. They've all got their own personalities. Bottle babies will be at your heels everytime you're near the pasture. Others will just come by to get a little scratching or certainly grab treats. But then, ones that weren't handled much when they were born can stay at the other end of the pasture...yet the more they're around you they'll generally warm up to you too.

Here is a picture of my little Nigerian Pygmy named Gimli. He was a Craigslist find. He's becoming a neat little goat. He was withdrawn and rather scared for months after I got him because he was chased a lot at his former home. He now talks to me and will eat out of my hand and I was able to convince him that hoof trimming was OK.

Awww...I am soo wanting one! They are all so cute. We had got a Nigerian Dwarf off of this site about a year or so ago. The beginning of this month a coyote got her,

We had just left for the grocery store and were only gone 3 hours. Apparently they have been moving through our area...If I knew I would have moved her in. She was awesome! She thought she was a dog..I miss her... and aill be getting a few this Spring. AND I am SO moving them indoors in the evening.
