I got a PINK egg!

Those eggs are beautiful and make me want more chickens so we can get more colored eggs! My DH would probably kill me if we got more....

Doesn't he understand the addiction?

The pink egg came from one of the BO sisters...I did a vent inspection!

EE and BO @ 30 weeks and no eggs yet...

We get the light brown ones with a pinkish tint to them, and those are very pretty too.

I've been wondering about that pink tint. I have an EE'er who obviously doesn't lay green eggs and every now and then I'll get one that looks sort of pinkish but then these sort of seem to have a powdery stuff (is it the bloom I guess--isnt' that what it's called?) that brushes off and then it doesn't look so pink anymore. ??

Today I got a really pink egg from my black sex link.
It was kind of weird the way the color seemed to be layered.
It looked like it was white over brown that made it the pink color and then it had darker pink speckles on it.
It was so far the most unusual one.
I took a picture but can't find the cord I need to put it on here, when I get my act together I will post it.

Ours are obviously pinkish. No powder stuff on them. I tried to take a pic but you can't see the blush in the photos. The first one we got, my stepson saw me with it and hollered "PINK??" It was funny!

did i read somewhere the pink from EE's are rare? Today was the first day Ive got 5 eggs from 5 chickens. One was pink 2 were green (as usual) and 2 were brown. So one EE and one RIR started today. I have 3 EE's and 2 RIR, so Im guessing it was from an EE.
