Update from the funny farm! My daughter just called to update on the hatch!

Here's a good one for you sick incubator nuts like me!

We have been hatching for a few days. Silkies mostly but we have a duck, yes just one duck. Well anyway, most of the hatchlings are in a brooder (made out of rubbermaid containers. ) This AM when I left we had the 2 pippers 4 others and the one cheerleader in the incubator, everyone else in the brooder. When DD called and I asked her to check on the pippers, she said one is dead, but it has wing feathers, they don't hatch with wing feathers and there are 3 in the brooder but only one shell. one dead, the cheerleader and the pipster and 4 others. and one pipping still. Talk about alien invasion. How the heck does that happen.

SOOO, I call DH, also known in some realms as dinggey husband!!! Anyhoo, I ask him if any of the chickens hatched this am before he left, which was about 5 minutes after I left. Or did he remove an egg this morning or something? Whoever did, it is dead now

He replies " WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" So I go on to explain there are 3 chicks in there hatched but only one egg and one of them is dead. again I ask, "did you remove any eggshells this am before you left"
DH said," Oh

I added a chick, I did not remove an egg it was a silkie that was no doing good, from the brooder, duck smasher got it. This is the 2nd babie we lost to the "SMASHER"

duckie duddle's new name. Now it is all clearer

Anyway, DD is gonna put "Smasher" in his own brooder to save the others.

Not to lose track of this thread, but the best Looney Tunes are the ones where Bugs is in a stew pot and he thinks its a hot tub, but the people are slicing carrots and vegetables into the water and Bugs is tasting the water with a spoon.......and then he gets it!
That episode or the one where he gives that Orange Hairy Monster a pedicure.......oh my god aren't we supposed to be adults?! What happend to us!

Thinking about it now my handle should have been thelastdoedoe instead of chicken and a biscuit.
I watch Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, and the Odd Parents, but I blame that on my boy! Still not near as good as the Yosemite Sam playing the piano that has a key rigged up to explode. I haven't seen some of these in 15 years, but I remember them clear as a bell, but some days I forget my own phone number!
Help an oldster out. How does everybody do the guy rolling on the floor laughing and all those different ones. All I can muster is this
