well it finally made it the rest of the way out...well sorta. His heads out and his butt is still in the shell. his eyes are closed. Is that normal? I don't remember........do they rest after they hatch or do they get up right away?

they will rest for a while. Getting out of that egg is hard work!

thanks, I guess that looks about what mind is doing. I Just get nervous. Im like a new mom ha ha. I thought it was dead, but then it started chirping loud. lol. Its cute. As soon as it fluffs up I will take a picture.

Well good news-its up and trying to walk around-though still wably. It flipped on its back and bad news-its naval wasn't all the way closed and it looks exposed and like the yolk though absorbed wasn't done with the closing part...sighhhh I hope its okay.

My baby thinks its mommy is the thermometer I have in there lol. It wabbles over to it and rests its head on top of it, lol. I put a tiny baby stuffed cat in there that is no bigger than it, for companion but it prefers the thermometer, lol.
