I've heard of many people that have had this certain problem with there birds now I'm wondering what causes it...

Your bird doesn't grown, I have a chick the size of a 6 day old and my birds are almost 2 weeks old. Now if it wasn't going to grow then why start growing then stop at day 6? Why not just not grow at all from when they are 1 day old. This specific chick eats, drinks, poops, but then it just stands there or sleeps while the others run around, I'll probably have to end up culling it but I'm starting to wonder why this happens because I've heard it happen with a couple other folks.

P.S. This chick hatch on its own but when it was out and walking the egg was stuck to it like the thing thats connected to chicks that lets them eat the yolk or whatever. He never got loose from it then I just took it off and he acted normal till he stopped growing of course.

For some reason the chick's body is unable to use the food it eats. It is getting enough to sustain itself, but that's about it. I don't know why this happens, sometimes it just does.

Wow, I have a three week old BQ that is only 1/3 the size of it's siblings. I thought maybe it was just not getting enough to eat, but it now lives alone with a 10 week old female button quail. Gets along fine and eats/drinks all it wants, but doesn't seem to be growing, though feathering out fine. Not real active, sleeps alot, but is cuter than heck. Will see what happens to the little guy.

I had one like that hatch from my Jumbo browns. At 6 weeks it still had a downy head, was less than half the size of the others, and both a red and speckled breast.

It ended up getting scalped so hard that they pulled off most of it's poor little androgynous head (all the way past the spine), but I found it alive and cowering with its head out of the cage. I quickly put it down after that, but I was sad because it was the sweetest one.
