Ooh I'm so excited. I came let my chooks out to roam the yard a bit this afternoon, and I was standing there watching them for awhile as they milled around me. I decided to try and pick up my Jersey Giant/wyandotte cross. Usually she would dart away oh so nimbly, but this time she sort of froze, squatted down and lifted up her tail just slightly.

Does that mean eggs are on their way??? They are all just shy of 19 weeks.

Oh, I am SOOOO jealous! I can't WAIT until my girls start to squat for me...

that sounds really weird, but you all know what I mean...

I'm watching those combs get darker and darker but trying not to get TOO hopeful.

My girls are 2 wks behind yours - they will be 17 wks on Monday.
