We have 6 Golden Comets, they're the friendliest and most entertaining out of all my girls...they started laying beautiful brown eggs for me around 16 weeks.

I've heard they're great winter layers as well....guess we'll find out in a few months!

I love my 2 Golden Comets... one just started laying me a nice darker brown egg. They are super sweet - I will probably end up with more in the spring.

I had a Golden Comet that I loved!! She was the sweetest of all of my birds. Unfortunately I lost her to the foster dog. I just ordered 25 new chicks, but not a new Golden Comet. I'm jealous!!!

Well DH noticed the new bantam
cochins babes hatched

but still hasnt noticed the golden comets
and they are getting big and beautiful.

It looks that Ireally won the bet.

I need a shoulder to lean on.
I lost my 2 golden comets and 4 silkies to some
critter . I found a real mess the other morning
Iam so upset.wire from the cage they were in
was tore up. poor little ones.
I was so looking foward to
my golden comets growing up.and the silkies.
it happened late in the night,
we heard nothing.
Whats tears off the heads and leaves all the mess all over.
I found one comet and tried to nurse
it back to health. but it it was badly tore up
and didnt survive. This week has not been good.

I am waiting for the post office to call so I can pick up 25 assorted chicks and 5 Missouri super egg layer pullets and one roo. DH has no idea, but DFIL is in cahoots with me. Muhahahaha!
