I just joined the forum today. I have been reading it for several days and been blessed with a number of ideas to try here at home. I live in Ft. Worth, TX and have six chickens right now. A Wyandotte rooster, two white leghorns, and three Rhode Island Reds. I bought a chicken ark to start out with and have made the chickens a project with my four grandkids. They raised them with me from chicks. They are laying eggs now and we are having a blast just pulling up a lawn chair and watching them. I got bit by the bug pretty bad and so bought an 18' by 21" steel carport and am working on making it into a nice chicken run. I put the chicken ark inside it and enclosed it all the way around with chicken wire. I now need to build a new chicken coop so I can get some more chickens and then the grandkids have ordered rabbits!
