I GOT MY PYR!!!

I finally got DH to agree to a dog (I do have to give up my little eBay shopping habit--SOOO worth it!), and here he is! He's a year and a half, 110 lbs of purebred Pyr, and he's WONDERFUL! He's super gentle, VERY calm, and walks on a lead like he's been trained by the Dog Whisperer!!! We don't have our fence in yet (it's backordered!!!), but he's on a chain for about 2 weeks, and he's fine. I'll walk him twice a day for a half hour each time, and the kids and I will be taking care of his fur for the week (he's blowing his undercoat and it's a PHENOMENAL thing to see!!)...he was in the garage with the chicks and basically paid them NO attention--no instinct to eat them, or even to play with them. He was on a farm with chickens for the first few months of his life, and his lineage is trained and bred working class Pyr. So I'm so so so HAPPY with him, and can't wait to get him bathed (he's REALLY muddy from his old owner's yard) and see him all gleaming white! Here are some pics so you can see!! Thanks for looking and sharing my JOY!!!

Beautiful! Congrats. As your boy is not "working"... he needs 2 hours per day of exercise to keep him tip top happy and healthy. In this warmer weather he will not require as much but look out come fall when the cooler temps hit...so does the energy level.
