I got MORE chicks lol.

Wait so you can tell by the size of the combs? I thought it was the feather shape..

Roosters have much larger combs and wattles then hens, and will show them earlier... but feather shape; that only has to do with the saddle and hackle feathers, and those only show when they're in their adult plumage. Here, take a look:

I say pic 4 is probably a cockerel.
Possibly pic 1 as well
Pic 2 is iffy but I would say the rest are pullets:)
I think I'm going to switch the fourth out for one that has a smaller comb. But I'm gonna keep the rest to see what happens, I really like these 5 chicks, but I don't want any rooster lol I already have a big dixie rainbow. (I'm gonna post a picture of him). He's the dad to all these chicks.

Awesome! Hope your enjoying them! I'm just personally wondering where you found that the sapphire gems are a amerucana/leghorn cross as they are a very new breed and people have been trying to figure them out. So just wondering where you got your information as those of us interested in the breed are trying to gather information!:jumpy
I think the breed on these are sapphires not sapphire gems.
