OK - I ordered 48 eggs from 2 different breeders on eBay.

Both had very very good feedback.

One of them shipped the eggs with delivery confirmation required (I had to sign for them) & the other did not but had a tracking number.

So both boxes arrived at my local post office @ 6:30 this morning. At 7am I call them & say I would prefer to come & get the eggs myself instead of having them deliver them. They told me no - thay were required to make at least 1 delivery attempt. Bummer.

I said my wife would be home at noon & to please deliver after that.

So she gets home at noon & finds a note in the mail box saying to come to the post office to get the eggs because she has to sign for them. [IMG] Isn't that what I had just tried to do??

Well - she also found the other box of eggs sitting in the snow on the top step of the porch with it being 10 degrees outside!!!!

    It makes me angry.

In any case - I have my eggs. With the extras that were sent I have 58 to set with only 2 broken en route.

    Here's hoping!!!

unless the eggs are frozen, you should have a good hatch, unless of course the PO did something else to them, but I've had very cold eggs almost froze hatch, [IMG] , good luck

I am SOOOO lucky! My postal gal knew I was waiting for two boxes of eggs, and with both boxes she made a special trip out of her way to bring them to me.
