I got some brooder boxes today!

My new chairs were delivered today. I was very excited for that. And then I realized the boxes were super strong…and about 3x3…so putting them together would give me two 9 sq ft brooders or 1 3x6 (18 sq ft) brooder! Last year I used a watermelon bin that was about 15 sq ft, so this is even better! DH was going to put them out for recycling! They are now stored safely in the basement til spring.
If I put them together I will probably cut a door between the two sides so they can explore the second side when the run out of room on the first side!

It's amazing when you get to the point of seeing everything with the view of "can this be chicken related".
I can see the oddest things and think brooder, incubator, etc.
Irl my son even does this when I see something and say hey that would make a cool incubator.

Its the same thing with coops! We want to build one for a small backyard flock and every time hub goes to toss wood from a project, I’m like, WAIT, that could be used for a ramp! Wait! I can make a nesting box with that!
