I am gonna be a duckie mommie. I just got my shipment date from Holderread and I am so tickled. So Mon or Tues of the May 4th week as they are only about 4 hours from me and a straight shot down I-5 we expect them to be here overnight. We will see.

I am getting 5 Ancona and 5 Golden Welsh Harlequins. hehehehe

Time to go buy their pool, a bag of duck starter and check the heat lamps and bulbs and and and

The Ancona is a larger duck that was nearly wiped out. Excellent layers and good on the table. They are white with black spots...no two alike.

The ducklings look like this

the Golden Welsh Harlequin is a medium bodied, great layer and good on the table so I am looking forward to them. The drakes are just as colorful as the silver welsh but they lack the silver and have a more muted bronze type color and the females can be very pale brown tones to darker brown
