View attachment 1212181 View attachment 1212180 I have 3 hens laying but lately, have occasionally only gotten 2 eggs (less daylight) but this morning I had this different little egg. I added 3 pullets about a month ago and didn't expect eggs from them until Spring but I'm wondering if one of them could have laid this egg. It had a little smudge that looked like blood on it. The hens I have always laid the darker brown eggs. The new pullets are bantam cochins/wyandotte mix and I forgot to ask how old they were when I bought them. Two of them are supposed to lay light brown eggs. Anyway, the photo is what they look like. Do they look old enough to lay an egg? I haven't seen a submissive stance yet and I'm really new to all this.

My Turken finally started laying and her first few eggs looked just like that! I always know when a pullet starts laying by the little dwarf eggs I find in the nest boxes.
