"I gots to get fixed? What?"

We had a bunny neutered because he started humping anyone who sat next to him. He never forgot that, though - he became so aggressive we could barely clean his cage. I wonder sometimes if it didn't mess with his hormones in some way. All our cats/dogs, and ferrets (when we've had rescues), male goats and horse, are neutered. Everyone's always been fine, but for some reason, that rabbit got really p.o.'d! I'd go along with "if it ain't broke..."

Looks like he's pretty worried in the first picture, but otherwise looks pretty lazy, nice rabbit. good luck.

I have intact breeders and a couple pets. I had the buck pet neutered. He came through surgery fine....and he was nice before and he is nice after. I do prefer him neutered....seems less stinky. Keeps weight better too.....and now he gets to live in a big pen outside with a girlfriend. He still chased her around trying to hump her the first few days, but got over it and now they are best buddies. She is intact.

My youngest son is pretty upset about our bunny's impending surgery. Does anybody out there keep a housepet bunny buck who's NOT NEUTERED?

This guy comes and goes in and out of the house, pees in his litter pan while indoors. While outdoors, sometimes he'll run in circles around the chickens and spray the mean one with urine, he's got pretty good aim (but everyone agrees she deserves it), mostly outside he's just doing this:

And mostly inside he's just doing this:

(Hey look at that, he's flying upside down! How did this photo load upside down? That's pretty funny.)
He's 6 months old.

The Deed is done, he's home resting in his PACU state of amnesia, with his favorite snacks and toys and blanket. He is to stay in PACU jail for 5 days to heal.

Thank you, all of you, with your best advice and counsel! It was great to read and re-read your stories, it really helped a lot. Now to wait and heal...
