@Sourland. ive got 11 chickens, six Barred Rocks, one is a roo, 1 RIR and two NJG and 2 Ameracaunas/EEs they were given to me so i dont honestly know if they are true Ameracauna or not. But all of them are pretty.
Anyone have a good treatment/prevention for frostbite? I'm afraid my roo has it sorta bad and I know he'll lose some of his comb and wattles i just dont want it to get worse. ill try to post some pics if that'll help. But I did manage to put some Vaseline on two of my hens combs and wattles.
Welcome FlockMaster-614. When my son got out of the military he moved to Evansville.. I don't have any sugesstions about your Roo but I know we have members here that will...Good luck!
Thanks guys. Thanks for the luck Chickenpen. I must laugh at myself because I can just imagine what someone watching saw.
Someone in no traction boots slipping and slidding around a slushy/snow-manure floored run with a big black combed rooster flying around trying to get away. He doesn't like me getting him into corners but he is too mean so I have to or I get a spur through my hand.
Guess its a good thing my dad is gonna fix him come spring. But he is pretty, id keep him but he is too aggressive and has crooked toes so. Out he goes.
