Hi there, folks!

I joined BYC a few months ago and left in a hurry for personal reasons.

And then my darling rooster Henry threw himself at a coyote and got dragged into the woods. I ran right in after him, and he's been in recovery for going on twelve days now. The first thing I did once I got him in the house and inspected his horrific wounds was create a new account and post some questions.

This is such a wonderful group of people. I love how kind and helpful everyone is in the forums.

Well, that's all. I just wanted to do what I didn't have time to do several days back and say hello!

Hi Carla, Welcome to BYC! Sorry you had such a rough start.
When you have time, check out your state thread. It is fun to chat with others in your area as well.
We love to see pictures of coops and chickens so feel free if you want to share.

Welcome back, I too love all the kind people and have learned so much in just a few days of being on this site, obviously there are tons of different opinions, but yes probably the opinions that are best for you will be in your state thread. Welcome to the wonderful world of BYC!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens!

Good job treating your Boy!

Are his wounds infected?? You could post photos and full details of his wounds at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. I hope he will recover :hugs
Thank you, drumstick.

I've been posting daily on his progress. I love this boy and hope he recovers, too. I appreciate your concern. My life has been totally wrapped up in his care since it happened.

Prayers for my sweet boy are most welcome.
